Tackling Limiting Beliefs

These are 2 of my limiting beliefs which I am actively breaking down -

"If you want a job done properly, do it yourself;"

and

"A job's not done unless it's done properly."

I'm not even going to spend too much of my time wondering who drummed these into me, or how, and instead I'm taking responsibility to shuffle these out of my core operating system so that joy can maintain its rightful place. It is very much a work in progress.

Ensuring I properly communicate what I need help with to others is key to healthy relationships. Likewise, ensuring I know my boundaries and respect and effectively communicate these with others is vital to valuing myself and the most special people in my life. When I try to do everything myself or when things aren't done to my satisfaction or if my 'standards' aren't reached or expectations met, my wellbeing and that of those around me can be harmed, which can then feed into a shame cycle.

And with connection and integrity being my core values, they guide me to work on my behaviours that feed into these limiting beliefs, so that I can be someone who confidently communicates with others, delegates to others, and trusts others to get things done in a satisfactory way. Who says my way is right anyway? Like I say, this is a work in progress and I’m blessed to have people in my life who supports my commitment to break these inherent negative beliefs down.
