The Joy of Connection

💞Connection is one of my most vital values (which drive everything I do). Connecting with others is what makes us human. We are social animals and we have an inherent need to connect.

💗As Brene Brown has written, “We are hard wired to connect with others: it’s what gives purpose and meaning to our lives, and without it there is suffering.”

💕I had the most wonderful day of connecting with couples who are getting married and other superb suppliers in the wedding industry @theislagladstone's Wedding Fayre. I come away absolutely buzzing after chatting and sharing ideas with wonderful suppliers at every wedding fayre and wedding I attend - I feel like I make some really worthwhile connections with people and it’s days like this that make life all the more pleasurable – the sunny sunshine and chilly air at this time of year never disappoint either!

💛It is such a privilege to work in industries that are literally all about human connection. That other great lady, Oprah Winfrey, stated, “Great communication begins with connection.” My job as a Life Coach and Celebrant is all about communication and connection. I love to connect with couples, ask questions, hear their stories and share in the deep and meaningful messages in their facial expressions and body language to create the most intimate ceremonies unique to their experiences, values, culture and traditions.

💝I’m closing the most connecting week I could have hoped for – connecting with siblings, a niece, my parents, some special friends, coaching clients, meeting a new friend, my incredibly loving and supportive handsome husband, my cat, people on the dancefloor in The Lisbon, strangers on the train, a dad from my old school who works at the station, wedding industry colleagues and couples. My cup is full. This is what makes me The Joy Celebrant and The Joy Coach.

Who have you deeply connected with this week?
